We put together this kit with the tools you need to get a fire going while out on the trail. We started with our FireStorm-Plus ferro rod that features our PyroStryke alloy blend which provides over 18,000 strikes of whit-hot sparks (up to 5500 degrees). It's extra large 1/2" diameter makes is strong and durable so it won't let you down at crunch time.  The solid wood ergonomic handle with 4-feet of braided 7-strand 550 paracord lanyard provide a sure grip when striking the Ferro rod when starting a fire or used for a number of other uses such as emergency repairs or first aid. Also included is our reusable FireWick torch which uses a special wax infused rope which will easily catch a spark and ignite. Once lit, you can use it as a match for lighting larger tinder, wood or other combustible materials. When done using the FireWick, just push the aluminum bellows back over the flame to extinguish it, saving it for many more uses.
