Our FireStorm-Plus uses an Extra large 1/2" diameter Ferrocerium "Ferro" rod to ensure that it is strong enough to hold up when it's crunch time. Like all of our PyroStryke ferro rods, it contains a special blend of alloys including magnesium that ensures a shower of molten hot sparks (up to 5500 degrees) and around 18,000 strikes of showering hot sparks assuring quick combustion of your tinder. Don't settle for inferior quality when your life could be on the line. The solid wood ergonomic handle includes a braided lanyard with 4-feet of 7-strand 550 paracord which can be used useful for a variety of survival tasks such as gear repair, building a shelter, making a spear, used as fishing line or any other number of uses.
